Love the smell of fresh coffee in the morning? Now imagine giving your skin the same energising treat! If you're looking for an effective, natural, and budget-friendly way to exfoliate at home, a DIY coffee scrub might be your new best friend.
At Ana’s Beauty Parlour, we always encourage maintaining a good skincare routine between your professional treatments — and this little recipe is a fun and skin-loving way to do just that!

🌿 Why Coffee?
Coffee grounds make a fantastic natural exfoliator. They’re:
Gentle yet effective at sloughing off dead skin cells
Rich in antioxidants that fight free radicals
Known to stimulate circulation and help with the appearance of cellulite
Ideal for giving your skin an instant glow
✨ Coffee + Coconut Oil Scrub
Perfect for:
Dry or dull skin, body exfoliation, pre-tanning prep
Ingredients:
1/2 cup used or fresh coffee grounds
2–3 tablespoons coconut oil (melted if solid)
Optional: a few drops of essential oil (like lavender or vanilla)
How to Use:
Mix all ingredients into a paste.
Apply to damp skin in circular motions, focusing on dry or rough areas like elbows, knees, and thighs.
Rinse off with warm water and pat your skin dry.
Benefits:

Deeply moisturising
Leaves skin soft, smooth, and glowing
Coconut oil is antibacterial and helps protect the skin’s barrier
🍯 Coffee + Honey Scrub
Perfect for:
Sensitive or acne-prone skin, facial exfoliation
Ingredients:
1/2 cup coffee grounds
2 tablespoons raw honey
Optional: 1 teaspoon of yoghurt or aloe vera gel for added soothing effect
How to Use:
Combine ingredients until you get a sticky paste.
Gently massage onto clean, damp face (avoid eye area).
Leave it on for 5–10 minutes for a mini-mask effect.
Rinse off with lukewarm water.
Benefits:
Honey is naturally antibacterial and soothing
Ideal for calming breakouts and hydrating dry skin
Gently exfoliates without irritation
💡 Pro Tips from Ana’s Beauty Parlour
Use 1–2 times per week — no more, to avoid over-exfoliating.
Always follow up with a hydrating moisturiser or serum (we recommend our Dermalogica moisturisers or Korean skin serums).
These scrubs are best used fresh — don’t store them for more than a few days.
Avoid if you have active eczema or broken skin.

👩🔬 DIY is Great, But Professional Treatments Go Deeper
While DIY exfoliators are wonderful for maintenance, nothing compares to a professional deep cleanse. Treatments like our Hydrafacial, Korean Glow Facial, or Microneedling with Skin Booster are designed to go beyond the surface and help you achieve long-term skin health.
